Scottish Perinatal Network Newsletter – Issue 60, October 2025
Posted by Anne-Sophie Hoffmoen - 31/10/2025
Dear Colleagues,
We have made it through another week, and another foray into Daylight Savings Time (anyone else have an appliance which shows the incorrect time for 6 months of the year? No?). It is also the end of the month and so we are pleased to share the SPN Newsletter – Issue 60 for the month of October.
Within you can read about our network activities, and we also try to share news, events, surveys and signposts which might be helpful and relevant to you. Feedback is always welcomed via nss.perinatalnetwork@nhs.scot, and you can get in touch if there’s something you would like us to consider sharing on your behalf!
In this month’s newsletter you can read about:
Scottish Perinatal Network Updates & Events Stack
National Maternity Network Updates & Events Stack
National Neonatal Network Updates & Events Stack
Have Your Say… Survey Section
SPN Strategic Partner Updates & News Roundup
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend ahead.
With very best wishes,
The SPN Team
P.S. While most of you will be familiar with the annual “we’re meant to be carving neeps (turnips) not pumpkins” debate about the popularised tradition of carving North American gourds for Halloween, did you know that Scotland’s own Robert Burns wrote a poem about Halloween? We’re told by the National Trust for Scotland that the poem highlights a local tradition of divination by kale stalks.
